This organic Darjeeling first flush tea comes from the renowned Gayabaree & Millikthong estate in the Mirik Valley. The plantation spans approximately 812 hectares and is one of Darjeeling’s largest tea estates. The northeast-facing slopes benefit from consistent sunlight, cool temperatures, and moist fog.
Altitudes ranging from 500 to 1,500 meters create ideal conditions for slow-growing tea leaves with a fine texture. Picking is done traditionally by hand using the “two leaves and a bud” method. The DJ7 represents an early harvest within the First Flush season and combines freshness with depth that has already developed.
The cup displays a clear, light golden hue. On the palate, the tea is balanced and fresh. A delicate astringency blends with a pleasant fullness. Citrus notes reminiscent of citrus peel provide structure and a long finish.
