In Firefox, a green bar appears in the address bar; clicking the lock icon displays the website verification for the site. This site is then considered trustworthy, and data transmission is encrypted.
In Internet Explorer, the address bar is highlighted entirely in green—you can find additional information about website identification at the right end of the address bar (key icon). There you will also find, among other things, the security certificate for the website you are visiting.
Google Chrome: EV SSL certificates are supported by default. The left part of the address bar turns green, and the organization name is displayed in green next to a lock icon.
Starting with Opera 9.5: EV SSL certificates are supported by default. The right side of the address bar turns green, and the lock icon also displays a checkmark.
