At an altitude of around 1,200 meters, the tea plants grow on steep, forested slopes beneath natural shade trees. The slow growth promotes a particularly delicate and complex flavor profile.

Cool mists, high humidity, and nutrient-rich soils define the quality of this first flush. Picking is done by hand using the time-honored “two leaves and a bud” method. The early DJ1 harvest represents the first and freshest selection of the season.
