This organic Darjeeling flight tea comes from the renowned Lingia Tea Estate, a historic highland plantation near the Nepalese border. The estate covers approximately 220 hectares and is one of Darjeeling’s smaller but particularly prestigious tea gardens. For over 140 years, high-quality teas with a clear provenance and refined character have been produced here.
At an altitude of about 1,800 meters, predominantly pure China bush varieties grow under cool, misty conditions. The slow growth at this altitude promotes a particularly elegant and nuanced aroma profile. The harvest is carefully done by hand using the classic “two leaves and a bud” method. The DJ1 represents the first picking of the season and brings maximum freshness to the cup.
The cup displays a light, clear golden-yellow hue. On the palate, the tea is delicate and precise. Subtle floral notes take center stage, accompanied by a fresh, slightly sweet structure. The finish remains clean, smooth, and balanced.
