About the Artist – Richard Partis

Richard Partis was born in Bath, Somerset, and now lives in an old farmhouse in the idyllic Tamar Valley in Cornwall. His deep passion for nature and wildlife led him early on to create the detailed depictions of wildlife and natural scenes for which he is widely known today.

Richard Partis has been collaborating with Dunoon for over 25 years and has created a multitude of striking designs over the years. His works reflect the beauty and diversity of Cornwall’s rural landscape, which serves as a constant source of inspiration for him.

In addition to nature, he is also fascinated by technical motifs such as cars and airplanes—not only because of their form and function, but also due to their historical significance and aesthetic impact. This diversity is evident in his designs, which are both realistic and artistic.

With his keen eye for detail, structure, and composition, Richard Partis brings a special depth to the Dunoon collection—lifelike, inspired, and masterfully illustrated.
