Skybury Coffee Plantation in Australia

The Skybury Coffee Plantation is located on the Atherton Tableland in the Far North Queensland region of Australia. It was founded in 1928 by Italian immigrants and is one of Australia’s oldest coffee plantations.

The plantation benefits from the region’s subtropical climate, which offers ideal conditions for growing Arabica coffee. Thanks to its elevation of over 600 meters, temperatures remain moderate. Additionally, the volcanic soil ensures the coffee beans are of exceptional quality.

The plantation grows exclusively Typica Arabica beans. Typica is characterized by a balanced, aromatic flavor. Gentle harvesting and processing methods preserve the beans’ aromatic qualities.

The beans ripen slowly and are hand-picked. They are then processed using the honey method. In this process, some of the pulp remains attached to the bean, giving the coffee its characteristic fruity notes.
